The 2019 Sorority 101 Recruitment Information Session was held on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. at Kingwood High School.
***The deadline to submit a sorority introduction packet is May 1, 2019***
Sorority 101 is a program that is put together by the executive board of KAAPA, which is composed of sorority women that have collegiate, alumnae and advising experience. These women volunteer their time to assist young women to prepare for their own sorority or women's fraternity experience. They provide one session each spring that provides an overview of what being in a sorority truly means as well as assistance with compiling a sorority introduction packet.
While KAAPA will not be hosting another Sorority 101 meeting this year, you can still register to receive our information packet and apply before the deadline of May 1, 2019. After the deadline, KAAPA may open up for late registration (stay tuned for more information).
In order to register for recommendations or "recs" from Kingwood area sorority reps, please visit our store to secure a sorority introduction packet. Once you have made your donation to secure a packet, we will email the information to you which includes instructions on the recruitment process, resume template, and more. All suggested donations collected help to fund our scholarship program as well as our events throughout the year.
This sorority introduction packet is instrumental in providing each potential new member with a letter of recommendation to each chapter on their campus. These packets are used to create letters of recommendations for all those who acquire a packet and turn it in on time. Copying and distributing the packet is strictly prohibited. Due to the coordination required to organize volunteers from over 20 sororities, deadlines cannot be missed.
